So I actually had to make a gif of his reaction to that last line because a mere screenshot didn’t cut it. This one tiny scene, this simple little gesture - it confirms that he went to Somalia on a suicide mission… much like Ziva did. Many of us suspected that already, from what he says, from his mindset at that time, from the flashbacks… but as often as I have seen this episode, I never before realized that he actually nods when she says, “So you will die with me”. He doesn’t answer verbally because he knows he’d answer her truthfully, with the damn serum in his bloodstream, but his body betrays him anyway and agrees with her: he went there to, literally, put her memory to rest. I have no idea why I never saw this before, but right now? I’m sitting here in tears. ;_;
